| The aluminum
insert which is normally in your arrow shaft
is removed. The transmitter is assembled into
the front of your arrow shaft with a press-to-fit
plastic insert and does not require any gluing.
The transmitter is totally assembled in about
30 seconds. |
| |
| When you are
hunting, the transmitter is in the OFF position.
When you shoot your arrow, the transmitter
turns ON automatically. When the game animal
runs away with the transmitter, it is sending
a signal which can be located by the receiver.
|
| |
| Obviously, in
order to locate the game animal, the transmitter
must stay in the animal. So, if you typically
experience pass-through shots, we recommend
that you use our arrow penetration limiter.
The penetration limiter has four (4) small
wire legs and looks similar to a standard
judo point. It fits behind the broadhead and
is designed to slide down the outside of the
arrow shaft and works like a brake. The penetration
limiter's wire legs flex and cause the penetration
limiter to tighten down on the shaft. |
| |
| It also uses
O-rings to create additional friction. The
number of O-rings used can be varied to compensate
for the poundage of your bow. Simply increase
the number of O-rings for higher poundage
bows. Typically, for a whitetail size animal,
we recommend 12-15 inches of penetration.
This is more than adequate to make a clean
kill, and keeps the transmitter in the animal's
chest cavity. With the transmitter embedded,
you will then be able to recover the animal
with the receiver. |
| |
| To locate your
game animal you simply hold the Recovery 1000
Receiver like a pistol and scan for the strongest
signal. |
| |
| You will receive
an audible signal through the ear phone and
a visual signal from the meter. When you locate
the strongest signal, you simply walk in the
direction the receiver is pointing. |
| |
| The receiver
has an optimum range of up to 1,000 yards.
However, the system's range is influenced
by weather, terrain, and the position of the
animal. Typically, the system's range will
average from 100 to 500 yards depending on
your specific conditions. |
| |
| When you recover
your game animal, you will want to turn the
transmitter OFF to conserve its battery life.
To do this, you simply remove your arrow from
the animal and touch the arrow shaft to the
receiver case handle where it is labeled "MAGNET".
This will automatically turn the transmitter
OFF. |
